Grzegorz Woszczek is a senior lecturer (associate professor) at the Division of Asthma, Allergy and Lung Biology, King’s College London and a principal investigator at the MRC and Asthma UK Centre in Allergic Mechanisms of Asthma in London.
He graduated from the Medical University in Lodz, Poland where he also received his medical training at the Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergy working with Prof. Marek Kowalski and his PhD in genetics of allergic diseases. He moved later to USA where he worked for 5 years as a research fellow at Critical Care Medicine Department, NIH with dr J. Shelhamer and in 2008 to UK, where he received lectureship at King’s College London. His research centres on molecular mechanisms of immune responses, and especially on characterisation of G protein coupled receptors for lipid mediators and their role in asthma and allergy.
